Older primary students can reflect more deeply, write about gratitude and turn it into action for others.
- Gratitude journals. Two minutes, three times a week: students write one thing they are grateful for and why it mattered.
- Gratitude letters. Students write a letter to someone who has made a difference to them, and deliver it if they choose.
- Gratitude scavenger hunt. Students find something in the school they are grateful for that starts with each letter of a word.
- Reframe it. Take a frustrating moment and find one thing to be grateful for within it.
- Class gratitude wall. A shared space where students add notes of thanks to classmates throughout the term.
